We'll arrange collection from our Stirling showroom and make sure you have everything you need before you go. Delivery is also available at an additional charge.
FAQs
What wheelchairs do you hire?
We hire lightweight folding wheelchairs, lightweight at 12 kg with a maximum user weight of 120kg (19 stone). They are available in narrow, standard or wide seat width.
Do you hire leg elevators for wheelchairs?
Yes. We have leg elevators for some of our attendant-propelled and self-propelled wheelchairs. Just let us know which side of leg elevator you need in the contact form.
What is the difference between self-propelled and attendant-propelled wheelchairs?
An attendant can push both types of wheelchair. The attendant-propelled is lighter, shorter in width and less bulky. The self-propelled has larger rear wheels and is easier to push by the user or attendant; however, it is heavier and bulkier.
What is a boot scooter?
It’s a pavement scooter that comes apart into 5 pieces to fit in a car boot with the heaviest part being 15kg. Our scooters have a lightweight air safe lithium battery that can be charged independently. The range is 8-10 miles and there is a maximum user weight of 21 stone.
What are the specifications of the folding scooter?
It has a folded size of 70cm x 42cm x 31cm and a total weight of 18kg. The maximum user weight is 18 stone and it has a range of 8-10 miles. It has a lightweight air safe lithium battery that can be charged independently.
What are the specifications of the powerchair?
It has a folded size of 95cm x 35 cm x 63cm with a range of 8-10 miles and a maximum user weight of 23.5 Stone. Total weight without batteries is 17Kg. It has a lightweight air safe lithium battery that can be charged from the chair or independently.
How much does a hire cost?
The cost depends on the duration of the hire and gets cheaper on a per day basis. Contact us for a quote. There is a refundable deposit required for each scooter or powerchair hire.
